Geschichte
One World Institute Norway gives you the unique opportunity to study in Norway, travel the world and volunteer in Africa or India! With us you can discover new cultures while helping others.

One World Institute Norway runs two programs: Fighting with the Poor (24 months) and Learn to Travel - Travel to Learn (6 months).

"Fighting with the Poor" programme is focused on the main contradictions in the world today, on the causes of poverty and on development work that could benefit the poor. The programme is structured in the following way:

6 months - studies in Norway and investigations in countries of interest

3 months - saving up for the travel budget by working in Europe;

3 months - travel and investigate in Africa or Asia;

6 months - volunteer in a project in Africa or India;

6 months - journalism, documentation and exams.

"Learn to Travel - Travel to Learn" programme is focused on environmental issues and is structured in the following way:

2 months - studies and investigations in Norway;

3 months - travel by land through Central America;

1 month - conclusions, presentations.

Requirements:

Minimum age: 18
European Union citizenship/passport (immigration rules) 
Minimum of 12 years of education (high school)
Intermediate English

Starting Dates:

A new team starts every March and September

Application Procedure:

Applicants will have a phone/Skype interview.

Costs:

There is an enrolment fee of 7000 NOK. 
Before the programme, students will get the opportunity to work and
EARN MONEY to go towards paying the tuition fee and travel expenses. This is called the "pre-course" and it lasts 6 months.
