Geschichte
                                   FOOD IS A WAY OF LIFE!
My mother has been my biggest inspiration as a talented cook whipping up  treats so effortlessly and lovingly. I wanted to share her cooking with others too outside our circles.
 Inspired to learn professionally, I headed off to make my career in the world renowned Culinary Institute of America, New York. I worked in several Michelin Star restaurants to further my experience as a Chef. It was a humbling experience, I learnt about working with farmers, farm to table concept, community building along with lovely food presentation. But I wanted to go beyond restaurant style cooking and create something personal. 
I have always dreamed of communal eating where new friendships can be formed over food and conversations over a communal table. I did that for a few years in India where I invited strangers into my home who sat around my communal table to share conversations and desserts. I also travelled and bag packed around Europe with my travelling chef's tools to do the same, working my way in remote and isolated community centres and organic farms. Food is a powerful cultural connector and a source of joy and conversations and unites people. 
So here I am in Copenhagen, where I strive to create loving connections and joy by sharing my creations and stories about food or just over a lovely conversation. I have carefully chosen the name for this venture: 
Bouche De Joie. Its French for mouthful of joy. I hope you can truly feel the joy, love and positivity  that I put into my desserts while creating them. 
You are welcome to come home and have a nice chat or share a cup of my special hot cocoa and cookies while I pack your treats.
