Falland is home, studio and a place where art and nature can meet. Located over 100 km north from Oslo, Norway.
In 2012 composer Kjell Samkopf and visual artist Caroline Ho-Bich-Tuyen Dang bought a place and moved to Søndre Land municipality after several years of expensive renting in Oslo. This place has provided them with a home and also more freedom to be inspired and creative. With a larger garden there has been intensive involvement with permaculture as a way to deal with the ecological crisis whilst growing perennial vegetables and plants. It is clear that their art practice and daily living is closely intertwined with their activism. Several projects have developed at Falland. An artist residency which houses international artists for a period of 2 weeks gives inspiration for those who have come. Smaller projects have also been integral to Falland.
