Nothing not to unlike my experience in this hut! The best mountain hut I've ever visited ever!! The atmosphere in their common room is sooo cozy and relaxing. The breakfast was good too. Everything is clean and tidy. Definitely would love to come back again sometime in the future Rom: 5/5
The place to be if you want to hike, bicycle or skikite. Lots of activities for the whole family. Stay there for the night, and get a 3 course dinner included. And the view, wow!Service: 5/5
An absolute slice of heaven! Our favourite part about our time spent at Finsehytta had to be the wonderful dining experience. TL;DR don’t forget your rain jacket! Our evening began tastefully set in nature, only 50 meters outside the building with a great view and of the poor guests eating inside. Our tastebuds danced, as we enjoyed freshly bought tortellini and surprisingly tasteful packaged carbonara sauce in exquisite aluminium diningware. After the first course, we were kindly upgraded by the host to the exclusive private lounge, which was located only 100 meters down the legendary Rallervegen road. At this point, we felt completely immersed in nature! Our only complaint about the private lounge was that there were no seats and it was rather exposed to the elements. And uncomfortably, as we crouched over our food in the middle of the muddy road, we could feel the cold rain breaking through our outerwear. But than that this small blip, Finsehytta provided us with a dining experience we won’t soon forget!
Would not recommend the dormitory style rooms. 1300 kr to share half of a small double bed. Can be very awkward as a solo traveler since, of course, you can’t choose who ends up sharing the bed with you. Absolutely not worth the price. Their website says “If you don't fill all the beds in the room, others persons can book the vacant beds” For these rooms “beds” actually means “bed halves”.

We only stayed there for one night and were actually looking forward to the more communal accommodation, but were unfortunately very disappointed: Even by Norwegian standards, the accommodation is far too expensive for a DNT - even the beautiful location doesn't make up for it. Additionally, you are practically forced to eat there, as you can't bring your own food and are either denied seconds or only given them very reluctantly. I also find it unacceptable that you have to pay extra for bed linen almost 14 euros!. In my opinion, this should be included in the price or do they really expect cyclists and hikers to carry bed linen on foot? Our minimalistic room with a double bunk bed was directly above the kitchen, from which loud techno music was blaring late into the night. When we asked for the volume to be reduced, we were woken up the next morning by loud music again. We found that extremely rude. Next time I would prefer to stay in a hotel or just to camp - at least that way you don't feel like you're being cheated out of your money.
Unique location, excellent breakfast, good and unpretentious dinners, friendly staff, good to amazing home-brewed beer 4 dinner different kinds. The rooms are simple toilets and showers are common and it was a bit awkward that there was no power outlet in it good opertunities for charging things the the common areas, though. So, it's important to understand that this is not a usual hotel, but a tourist cabin. A wonderful tourist cabin.
