Gelato, a software company headquartered in Oslo, Norway, is building the world's most intelligent print cloud. Helping global companies to manage their brand, both physically and digitally, in a more efficient and sustainable way. Currently reaching 68 countries and 5.3 billion people.

Gelato has built a marketplace within the global printing industry. Through its software platform, the company connects customers (both private and business) with more than 60 print houses around the world. Gelato currently runs operations across Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.

Gelato’s software connects all parts of the printing value chain - from designers, print buyers, print houses, paper providers to logistics companies. The company does this without owning any fixed assets. Rather it shares fixed assets – in this case, print machines – allowing print files to be intelligently allocated based upon idle print capacity and final destination.

Counter to what most people believe printing is a very dynamic market. Commercial printing accounts for USD 400 billion globally and within this digital printing technology is rapidly growing, climbing from USD 80 billion in 2008 to USD 150 billion in 2016. This can be compared to the global online music industry’s turnover totaling USD 15 billion.
