Gjøvikregionen International School (GIS) is a private elementary school from 1st to 5th grade in which students are taught by Norwegian and English language teachers by IB`s educational principles. The school has small classes with a maximum of 20 students. All students will be challenged at their level, and the school has a strong focus on basic skills in Norwegian, mathematics and English. The school places great emphasis on proper training from 1st grade. GIS wants to provide the students with a positive work environment that includes an atmosphere of cooperation and a mutual respect for other individuals’ values and ideas.
GIS is a private school and school fees will be charged according to state regulations. For the school year 2014/15 the monthly fee is 2500,- NOK pr month, 10 months pr year. The school has no deadline for applications. Students may be admitted at any time during the school year.
GIS uses the proven educational program IB International Baccalaureate, which is now used in 141 countries all over the world. GIS are an IBO candidate school, educating internationally minded students.
