That is probably worst rental company that i have ever used. Few weeks after returning car and coming back to home i got an email that they found a damage of the car. Unfortunately, we did not made a photo of the car straight away after getting into it, but just after 50 kilometers of ride - it is clearly visible there, that the "reported" damage was already there. They make a photo after each car return so i have asked them to provide me a photo when the previous person returned the car. I don't mind paying for damage that i caused but i wanted to be sure that this damage wasn't already there when i got the car. They have ignored the email and almost 2 months after the rental they are taking 10000 NOK from my bank account - without any previous notice, invoice or email. That is first and last time when i have used Hertz.
We booked a car with hertz and we're delayed due to internal flight changes and they gave our car to someone else. The lady at the counter was very dismissive and unhelpful. They had no more cars to offer and she seemed like she just wanted to shut shop We needed up getting a car from sixt next door If you are running late, you need to inform them but there is no way of getting touch This was the first time our experience with Hertz was so awful, pls be careful before making a booking. They seem unreliable
Booked a rental car there. It was said it had one big damage wind shield damage, everything else was minor and therefore not documented. The service neither checked the car before we took off nor brought us to it. We took photos ourselves. When we returned the car, once again no one checked for any damages. 2 days later I received an email telling me they had discovered 4 damages that I made - one of them being the wind shield damage that was literally recorded in the rental agreement before. 2 other of those damages were recorded by the photos we had taken ourselves before we moved the car - they were there before. 2 of these damages were recorded by the rental service with photos at a completely different location than the one I left the car at. I have so far not received any answer from them since I wrote back that I object to having done these damages. I attached the proof. I have had rental cars with other companies before and I never had such problems before.
Hadde gratis leiebil gjennom garanti på bilen. Matte la de reservere Kr 3000,- til bom penger. Trakk kortet. Da jeg kom hjem begynte de å trekke/reservere penger fra kontoen min. Totalt nesten kr 16000,- en familie med trang økonomi har fått problemer nå. Er det virkelig slik at de har full tilgang og kan gjøre slikt som ikke er avtalt? Når de fryser penger på din konto kommer det frem i nettbank. Når pengene blir frigitt kommer det ingen ting frem i banken som forteller det. Dette kan ikke være lovlig.
I was getting a bit worried when I saw all the negative reviews here, but we had a 100% positive experience so I wanted to share it as well! We arrived 30 minutes earlier than our reservation and no-one was there yet. No problem, we tried the self check-in and it said our car wasn't yet ready as could be expected. We decided to call the number nontheless to see if someone would come to maybe help us get the car earlier. Guy on the phone said he would be ther ein 5 minutes. Once he arrived, he checked us in right away, added an additional driver for 3,5€ per day which was the normal fee and handed us our car key. We got a free upgrade to a bigger and much better car automatic, cruise control, extra space etc. and could leave 20 minutes earlier than planned! Upon return no problem either, everything went super smooth!!
The HERTZ NORWAY is the MOST terrible companynot just car rental I have ever encountered. If you guys see all this and still decide to use this company, I wish you good luck... l've received a rental charges Nok$11039 on 13/10/2023 from this company after 2 WEEKS that I back to Hong Kong. They used my credit card without my permission to conduct this transaction. They just sent me a invoice and said ‘it was the damage to rental car ’without any car damage photos and records. Fortunately, the transaction was stopped by the bank and it is just the beginning of the nightmare. I have sent an email to ask them to provide evidence and photos of damages. They just sent me back the invoice again on 8/11/2023 and STILL without any photos or evidence. Then I sent email including the invoice and record again to ask them provide damages photos. They just replied me to provide my information number AGAIN after A MONTH!? During this period, I also received an email from the Zolva debt company asked me to pay the debt. If the invoice is not paid within 14 days debt collection will be initiated and may be subjected to additional cost. After that, I sent them several emails but what I've got is their AUTO-REPLY EMAIL telling me to wait. They never answered any of my questions directly! I had to find Hong Kong Hertz staff to assist me to communicate with them. On 6/2/2024, I finally received their email said the charges was related to the interior damages. My insurance CDW was not cover interior damagestill without any photos about damages. I was purchase the SUPER insurance for the rental and when I return the vehicle, there was no interior damage for the vehicle. So the Hong Kong Hertz staff continue to follow this case. On 20/5/2024, the Hong Kong Hertz staff forward the Norway report email to me. The report inclued damage photos and all the details this time. But the most ridiculous thing is that the license plate and colour of vehicle shown in the photo is completely different from the one when I rented the car. And the damage of the photo have recorded at 16-Sep-2023 18:23. But I was pickup before 18:00 on 16-Sep that was also record on the rental agreement. After all this time, the Hertz Norway can still get this wrong!!! Finally on 21/5/2024, the Norway Hertz sent me an email and said they have looked into the matter again and have chosen to withdraw the claim regarding those damage that was not made by me. They didn't even explain and clarify why they have made such a huge mistake! The employees of this company are not serious about their work at all and their attitudes towards arrogance. Every time they reply to my email, I basically have to wait for at least a month and all the information is wrong. In the past nine months, they have never contacted or assisted me to solve any problems that made by their mistakes. The worst part is that they took my credit card without my authorization to conduct the transaction. This is actually a crime. They are wasting my time and energy to solve their problems in these 9 months.
They are scammers. They tried to charge me extra by giving me the papers after returning the car and say all is good and I could leave. Only because I started actually going through the contract something looked odd and I had to come back and complain about extra charges !!
Thieves!!! This agency charges your card many times with small amounts and then larger amounts many months after your rental without a reason. They have absolutely no justication to charge my card. I will be filing a criminal case against them. Absolutely revolting behavior. I'm truly shocked and disgusted by them.
They made a mess of everything. We booked an Audi E-Tron at their office and the order was confirmed. But when we checked the order online a few weeks later, it automatically become a smaller sized car group. And we even got another email said we have another booking! Who knows who booked that for us! It was incredible! The staff at the reception even tried to deceive me.....I don't understand how this happens in Norway....
As far as rental cars are concerned, dead easy self-service pick up in Tromso downtown and drop off at the airport. Only problem just so difficult to find, no signage at the airport for the drop off as we didn't pick up from there and then downtown location hidden on the first floor of the ferry terminal... otherwise best rental car in terms of no faff pickup/drop-off.
