Hot Yoga have a few different hot yoga classes, but we mainly practice Bikram. Bikram is a complete workout where the entire body is engaged. The room is heated to 40+ degrees with 40+ percent humidity. The original class is 90 minutes with 26 postures and two breathing exercises, an intense workout that still works for any fitness level. We also offer a 60 Bikram Express class.
Through this practice you increase strength, build muscles, increase flexibility, improve stamina while at the same time the body goes through an amazing purification and detox. Many people experience weight loss, increased energy and improvement of health when starting hot yoga. It is also a great way to prevent and improve injuries, often used by athletes to improve performance and restitute. Through stimulation of hormones the immune system is strengthened and the metabolism stimulated and balanced. It is also known to reduce stress and increase concentration.
Bikram Yoga's twenty-six posture exercises systematically move fresh, oxygenated blood to one hundred percent of your body, to each organ and fiber, restoring all systems to healthy working order, just as nature intended. Proper weight, muscle tone, vibrant good health, and a sense of well-being will automatically follow.
Practice emphases
Unchanging sequence of postures in a heated room, designed as a rejuvenating exercise to strengthen the entire body, from head to toe.
Please read the following carefully before coming to our class.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION – HOT YOGA
• Arrive minimum 15 minutes before the class, if it is your first time 20-30 minutes. You can enter from the back of the SR-Bank building, where you will find free parking
• Drink at least 1,5 liter of water the before the class on the day of practice, and plenty of water after. We also highly recommend organic coconut water after class. Do not eat 2-3 hours before the practice
• It is advisable to wear as little as possible and something that is easy to move in. It is best for yourself and others not to wear lotions, perfume or make-up
• Bring a yoga mat, a big towel for the mat and water -these are the only things you should bring into the class. We sell yoga mats, yoga mat towels and yoga clothes at the studio, as well as various refreshments, healthy snacks and coconut water, all organic
• Please do not speak during the class, from the moment we step into the room we practice silence
• Only drink water between the postures after the warm-up is done. It is advisable to drink as little water as possible during the class, only little sips
• Make sure you stay in the room for the full class. The first few classes may be demanding -however it gets better. Take as many breaks as you need and focus on your breath. You may meditate before and after class
• We focus on stillness throughout the class; avoid drying off sweat and unnecessary movement. Between postures we remain still with the exception of drinking water if necessary
• Pay attention to the instructor, everyone should move simultaneously –do not rush!
• It is important to do the positions correctly and mindfully rather than pushing yourself into a posture incorrectly. You should not experience any pain; avoid doing painful movements and let the instructor know before the class if you have any injuries
• Breathing is key to the class. Besides the breathing exercises we practice long deep breaths through the nose. Let your mind, body and breath connect

Advance class bookings and membership/pass purchases should be completed online using MindBody Online, accessible through the Classes page of this website. In order to guarantee class space, a complete advance booking must be made, including payment (all prices are listed in Norwegian kroner). Reservations can also be facilitated by phone and walk-in registration is available, subject to class space. All classes, passes, and memberships are non-transferrable and non-refundable. To register as a Hot Yoga student you must be at least 18 years of age. Students under the age of 18 are required to provide written consent from a parent and/or legal guardian. Registration details provided must be correct and complete.
Refund Policy
All classes, passes, and memberships are non-transferrable and non-refundable. Courses and workshops are non-refundable. In the event that a course or workshop is cancelled, registered students are eligible for a refund or may select an alternative and equally priced course or workshop option.
