Twice we passed through Svolvaer on MS Nordlys and both times in the dark. Once my eyes adjusted to the light I spied the magnificent mountain in the background. I long to visit this place in daylight.
The harbour at Svolvaer is especially beautiful. There is a boardwalk around the inner harbour where the fishing boats dock. The magic ice sculptures are located at the end of the quay where the Hurtigruten docks and is open all year round. Excursions leave here for trips around the Lofoten archipelago.
Lofoten is located in northern Norway. There are several airports on the island. Among them, Svolvaer Airport has the best location and the most flights. The distance from Volwell to the westernmost town of Å is not far, but Lofoten is actually a holy land for hiking. There are many famous hiking trails, including Reinebringen near the town of Reine, which are very popular among hikers. Det er en reise som er vanskelig å finne makens til. Det er god service og du får hjelp hvis du spør. Gode koronatiltak.
Liten men hyggelig terminal for hurtigruten på Storkmarknes. Her på Storkmarknes er det et hurtigrute museum og her står Finnmarken som er et gammelt hurtigrute som er satt på land
Fint! Rett midt av byen. Vell planlagt. Nydelig utsikt mot fjell. By ser veldig fint ut fra terminal. Det ser ut som at By er utviklet i midten av 2 fjell.
