This is the official facebook page for the Institute for Cancer Genetics and Informatics (ICGI) at Oslo University Hospital.
We bring scientists, researchers, patients, pathologists, developers, consultants, doctors and suppliers together in an environment of cooperation and sharing — to research and develop the concepts needed to improve cancer care, research and treatment.
We are located at the Radium Hospital as part of the Comprehensive Cancer Centre at Oslo University Hospital. The Institute is also part of Centre for Cancer Biomedicine, appointed Centre for excellence in research by the Norwegian Research Council. The Institute’s work consistently supports the high international standing of the Oslo University Hospital, both through our contribution to medical services and through our research contribution.
Covering a wide field from clinical databases to image analysis and robotic surgery, medical informatics has become an inherent part of most medical disciplines. Medical informatics incorporate and integrate research, clinical care and public health to enable everyone to be supported by informatics-based information and communication systems and technologies.
We hope you will find information about our ongoing projects and engage in our work. Unwanted comments will, however, be removed.
