Truly the best fish and chips! The batter is crisp and hearty. The fish is like butter, beautifully cooked and flaky. Hopefully you're there to enjoy the al fresco dining! This is my second trip ever to Ålesund from the U.S. I couldn't wait to eat here again, it's that good.Mat: 5/5
Saw the staff eating fries as they were preparing/serving food and even saw one licking her fingers. They seriously need a food inspector around. Sure it was a busy day but had to wait more than 50mins for plain old deep fried fish and chips. As a consolation, the batter of the cod was crispy and well seasoned. Fries tasted double fried. Would not recommend unless you're desperate or until they've improved on hygiene.
Believe the hype! This is the best fish and chips more fries than chippy chips you will have! The fish is out of this world! If you visit Alesund do not miss this place! It’s not fast food but it’s worth the wait!

I think this place deserves higher reviews - the portion size is great, plus it comes with a sauce of your choice. You can taste the freshness of cod plus batter was light and crispy. Great chips. Tartar sauce is tangy, light, and enhances the dish. One of the best cod and chips I’ve ever had - plus the service was excellent. There is seating outside, which is lovely on a sunny day.
Ordering was quick and efficient. No problem with English language. It took about twenty minutes to get our food. The food was very good. The cod was some of the best we have had. We sat and had our food on the public heated benches near the water.Mat: 5/5
