2.1 km of downhill sledging - rent you own for the day and take as many trips as you like. You take the train back up to the top. You will surely find enough speed and likely a crash or two. 8-9 min ride and 15 min back up again. We did it on a weekday afternoon and had very little traffic.
Exciting and fun experience if you want to do sledding! They have a restaurant where you can have a break and recharge batteries. You can rent the sled and they give you a security helmet. Have to be careful and avoid to stop while you are sledding since people can crush against you unintentionally.
I was first time and had absolute blast, awesome activity with good dose of adrenaline and fun, I highly recommend to anyone, sled renting relatively cheap includes the helmet as well. If you are in Oslo in winter and the snow conditions are right, don't hesitate and go try it. Transport from Oslo city centre very easy. The view from the top is amazing, btw.
The sled experience was sooo fun! One if the best experiences and a MUST do in norway. Don’t expect it to be that easy ride. It is fast, and you should be careful you can harm yourself. There are some places where you can hit trees and fall down in a small valley! There are no staff to guide you through the start of the ride. Nobody gave us advice of renting a helmet nobody gave us some tips and recommendation, basically they give you the sled and that’s it. On the way down no security or safety staff are on the way and I think they should take this ride more seriously since it can be dangerous add safety staff as well and add safety materials on both sides of the sled . There is a risk of injury. Not recommended for children and elderly and people with back pain. Rent a helmet, take the ride seriously and enjoy! It takes about 10min to get down, easy to rent the sled and not very expensive about 15USD per person. You can do it again as much as you want without paying again the 15USD. Once you reach the bottom, A train will get you back on the top last station .
Amazing place, lots of fun. What a great way to spend an afternoon when in Oslo.
This is one of the best places to visit in Oslo during winter, it was awesome thrilling and unique experience to try sledding.
This place is so good! Around £10 for a wooden sleigh, you can go as many times as you want just get a 24 hours train ticket which is around £10 but to be honest my ticket wasn’t checked once
It's fun! And it is scary as hell! Don't go up there expecting to be that short, giggly, pleasant ride you remember from your childhood. Except your sledge to be grinding ice and throwing off fiery sparks. It's a ride.
Amazing sledging experience, easy to rent the sledges at c. 130NOK per person. Just follow the path down if you are arriving from the T-Bane and you’ll see the signs to rent a sledge. Follow the path further down past the restaurant for the sledge path. Watch out for the corners as you do build up some speed!!
Great place if you have a short stay in Oslo. Renting a sled is not only exiting, but fun as well. I’d recommend coming a bit earlier, as the snow will be fresh and more pleasant to sled on. Happy riding!
