Historie

Louise Restaurant & Bar can offer three different rooms for private functions: Kongerommet, Henrik Ibsen and Skipperstuen. Here you can enjoy an intimate dinner, business lunches, conferences or a grand wedding in beautiful surroundings.

Both the restaurant and Seilbaren have unique interiors. Louise has over 1000 artifacts with a distinctly nautical theme, original antiques which historically document Norwegian maritime history throughout the ages. In the Seilbaren we have taken it one step further and decorated with the rigging and sails from the famous Norwegian tall ship Christian Radich. We welcome you into this incredible, historical environment.

Delicacies like our freshly-cooked lobsters and king-crabs from the west coast of Norway, which are well renowned for their quality.

To ensure that we serve the freshest Norwegian and American lobsters, scallops and mussels, we fish them straight out of our tanks.

From the land we choose specialized producers who are quality conscious: Small Norwegian producers like Holte farm in Vestfold, who are famous for their free-range chicken; Haukeli dairy, who makes heavenly goats cheese; The finest grade salmon from Salma. Not forgetting of course the sweet mountain lamb.
