Historie

PenguinUp was established in 2014 by Vaibhav Bhutoria. A traveller to the core, Vaibhav's desire to travel the world was hindered by limitations of public transport and high taxi prices in Norway. He was “lucky” to have shared taxis and carpooled in Kristiansand, Chicago, Barcelona, Lisbon and Kolkata. Vaibhav believed people didn’t need to be lucky to share a ride and started his mission of making the world more accessible through ride-sharing (in the true sense).
