Very nice ferry cruise. We arrive late to ferry so we didn't have seated place but it was even better as we could walk and observe more. Dogs are allowed on upper deck outside. There is voice commentary in 3 languages and sometimes captain is adding some information. On the way back it was cold and very windy
Norway is steeped in history and our guide Bent , gave a very indepth recount of Norwegian history on the tour. The boat was clean, warm and comfortable and crew slowed down so we could see the farmed salmon jumping , we also saw many natural points of interest too. Including Vagabond cave, Hengjanefossen waterfall and Mighty Preikestolen. We also saw the light house enroutetheading out. Although every effort was made to interact and keep us engaged ,I personally would not repeat this experience.
Very well organized, lovely round trip to the Lysefjorden. The cruise took about 3,5h and it was worth it. There is a kiosk for drinks and sandwiches inside and it offers very nice seating inside and some outside as well depending on the weather.
Outstanding experience and amazing customer attention. We were so lucky to purchase one of the last tickets for the Lysefjord cruise and it has been really a charm. Ship is perfect in size and very comfortable for the trip, either on the outer decks or inside. Landscape is mesmerizing with some highlights such as the Pulpit rock and the inner corner of the fjord, where you get so close to the cliff. Again thanks so much to the lovely team!

Nice views of the fjords and also saw some salmon farms, goats being fed, and a cave. Information was given along the way which adds to the experience. Recommend to spend time out on the deck - I was armed with a thick jacket and this was just amazing.
I was able to purchase a ticket for the last afternoon Lysefjord cruise and I am so glad I did. It was a wonderful experience. The crew provided just the right amount of information along the way. Stopping at waterfalls, points of interest and visiting some adorable goats. This was at the end of my 2 week trip and was not the only fjord I cruised but it was definitly a highlight. I have way to many photos to post but here are a few
A beautifully scenic boat ride up the famous Lysefjord. The iconic Preikestolen/Pulpit Rock the location where Tom Cruise has his final showdown with the villain in the 6th Mission Impossible film can been seen as well as numerous, but quite small waterfalls. The Vagabonds Cave is not really a cave, but it is fun to see how the boat manoeuvres in such a tight spot. The whole trip took a little over 4 hours and stops at various points to allow passengers to embark or disembark. You have the opportunity to disembark from the boat at Lysebotn, but only for a maximum of 15 minutes. It's a shame you can't stay for longer. There were very few people on board when we went so there was plenty of room on the upper viewing deck. The big question. Do you travel all the way to the head of the fjord or settle on the shorter trip, which takes in Pulpit Rock and the largest of the waterfalls?In retrospect, I would have saved myself £100 and gone on the shorter trip. I docked two stars because the excursion did not feel special enough for the price. £279 pounds for two adults and two children is a lot of money to spend on a 4 hour boat ride, regardless of the scenery. Had the weather been poor I would have docked another star; I would not risk booking up more than a day ahead so that you have a pretty good idea whether it is going to rain or not!
I was excited to take the Rodne Fjord tour to sail on the Lysefjord and view the Preikestolen from below. It turned out disappointing as I did not know where to focus my eyes while they were describing the Preikestolen over the sound system. A few of crew could have joined passengers to point exactly where the Preikestolen is on the mountain. The rest of the Lysefjord tour’s attractions aren’t delightful. I had taken the Norway-in-a-Nutshell day tour from Bergen nearly three decades ago. It remains to be the most wonderful tour I had ever taken anywhere in the world!
This was soooo spectacular! The information they shared during the cruise was enlightening and historical and at times, funny. The captain got incredibly close at a couple points inside of a cave opening, a water's edge with goats super cool goats that just hang out throughout the season and you get to feed them if you want off the side of the boat! And the cliff where a waterfall poured and we got to try the natural fjord water off the rocks. Definitely recommend being on top of the shop outside. Even though it's cold with the wind dress warm! The sites are so much clearer to see and the air is so fresh. This was a very enjoyable cruise and one of the highlights of my time in Stavanger. Took about 3 hours roundtrip.
