This is well worth a visit on your way through the mountains. Situated near a good cafe and camp ground the old church is very pretty and really gives you a good sense of the architecture from an older time, it’s interesting for those that enjoy this sort of thing.
Such a beautiful stave church. Saw it only from the outside, but it was still worth the stop in such a majestic surrounding. A good tip if you’re driving electric, is to plug in at the Shell and take a walk down here.Besøkte stedetPå en ukedag
This is a bit LOL, but definitely worth visiting for that factor alone. This is a 'healing' church with some weird stories connected to it, including the throwing of prosthesis by healed visitors. What is more accurate is that this is an old church, one of the few remaining stave churches, albeit heavily modified during the years.
Beautiful and traditional stave church dating back to the medieval. The entrance fee is now 80 NOK. If you are interested in history and architecture it is worth a visit.
Flott kirke med gode parkeringsmuligheter. Fint sted å ta en liten rast når man kjører forbi. Flere bord man kan spise niste ved rett ved siden av.
Fantastisk kirkebygg med god guide! Skal si det var mye dramatisk overtro i middelalderen, vi smiler litt av det, men den gang var det fullt alvor
Really beautiful church with old inscription on the wooden walls
Flott stavkyrkja frå 1200 tallet. Open for guiding om sommaren. Ligge flott til i Røldal med magiske fjell omkring.
