Historie

I hjertet av Stavanger ligger Breitorget, hvor vi har to spisesteder:
- Matbaren er et uformellt spisested i bistro-stil, åpent for lunsj og middag alle dager.
- RE-NAA er en intim, avslappet og elegant gourmetrestaurant, åpen for middag tirsdag til lørdag.
I tillegg har vi flere flotte selskapslokaler, velegnet til bryllup, bursdag, firmaselskap, julebord, familieselskap og andre anledninger.

Jeg dro spontant til Renaa Matbar og ble ikke overrasket over hvor fantastisk maten og opplevelsen var – det var rett og slett en opplevelse som ikke lot seg stoppe, akkurat slik den gode Hellstrøm pleier å si: 'heilt fantastisk'." Du kommer inn til en behagelig betjening og avslappende atmosfære inne i restauranten. Kommer garantert tilbake.
In 2017 and 2018 I and my family ate here at least four times. The quality of the food and service was nearly perfect. Of the hundreds of restaurants that I've patronized in my life, RM is in the top five. I pray the Lord brings me back to this place at least one more time.Mat: 5/5
Amazing team that elevates the already high quality produce that can be found locally. Particularly like the relaxed and casual environment and great service. Had a seat at facing the kitchen and really enjoyed watching the team prepare everything with joy and great attention to detail. Had the bone marrow to start, Turbot for mains and duck fat potatoes and all of them were home runs. Update: Went back a 2nd time and the quality is consistent. Kitchen was also able to make fish and chips for a fussy kid so that was a nice touch.
Food was great and the lady who was responsible for our table was very kind but it just took incredible long. 2 hours after arriving we still didn't have the main course , which just isn't acceptable! When I voiced it to one of the male waiters, he argued back that it was because we had starters before .... very strange reply since the starters already took very long to arrive. Once the food arrived , it was very good but overall was the experience pretty disappointing this time. We therefore decided against dessert and left. Very unfortunate since we had guests over and Renaa usually is great.
Excellent food. Taste, flavor, consistency are perfectly matched across all dishes. No doubt. Place very well designed and decorated. I would suggest less timing.
The food was delicious with attention to details and flavours. Our appetisers which were the escargot, the chili grilled squid with chorizo, and the yellowtail hamachi marinated slices, my 12 year old wanted to order them all again. For mains we had entrecôte with shoestring fries accenting the dish, as well as a Bouillabaisse, and the turbot fish… our plates were pretty much wiped clean, and for dessert the cheesecake was the winner followed by the creme brûlée perhaps I wouldn’t order the baked Alaska although the presentation. And delivery of it is special as the chef comes out to light it on fire.. but perhaps replace it with a caramelised apple tarte Tatin. Ambience very pleasant, and service is good too o compliment the overall restaurant..
Fantastisk mat på Matbaren: Den beste squid-retten jeg har smakt med nduja, hvitløk og chili og den beste pølse med potetstappe jeg har hatt også. Sjokoladeterte med vaniljeis var bra også. Det er bare å nyte
Very nice place, warm and cosy. Mashed potatoes with their own homemade sausage, tasted delightful. But this place can hurt your wallet A little bit noisy, and your clothes will smell food when you go out.
Pølse med stappe til 280kr uten grønnsaker kun en tørr Timianstilk som kjøkkenet sikkert har sett på som ikke lenger brukbar. En og en halv pølse jeg ikke ville kjøpt for 10kr på Rema. Stappen smakløs og sausen for sterk smak, en dårlig matopplevelseMat: 1/5
Great service, amazing food. The food was overall so tasty and perfectly executed that we didn't even mind the macaroni that didn't really belong to the dish nor the icy ice cream with the chocolate tart. Absolutely worth not one, but multiple trips.
