The hotel is located in a very strategic area, and is fantastic if you want to visit the fish market or catch the Fjord cruise to Flåm in the morning at 8:00 a.m. my room was Tastefully decorated and the bed was nice and comfortable. All of the that I interacted with were lovely and the breakfast they put on in the morning is quite comprehensive and has a range of choices. I would definitely come back and stay here again.
I have never had a better view from my hotel room or breakfast room window. Both overlooked Bergen's historic harbour and the mountains beyond. The hotel is, therefore, very well located for everything you'd want to do on a city break. The rooms themselves were clean and functional, with amazingly comfortable beds. We slept really well. The star is the breakfast; the food is incredibly high quality. We would definitely stay here again.

As other people have said, fantastic location, rooms a bit small and a bit too warm, but the huge buffet breakfast was the best we've EVER had at a hotel. Something for everyone!Rom: 4/5
I enjoyed staying at Scandic Torget Bergen. The team is very nice and kind. The hotel manager helped me find my phone that I lost in the street . I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for friendly, attentive service and a great downtown location.Rom: 4/5
A great hotel.. ideally located, very close to harbour and within 10 mins of all the locations we had intended visiting ie the recommended tourist locations. Friendly and helpful staff, nice lounge/reception/bar area with free coffee and snacks to buy. Full bar too with local and international beers. Great fire pit in there too ... yeh like real fire. Nice breakfasts.. good selection of hot and cold food .. coffee juices and smoothies. Even had a takeaway breakfast arranged for an early excursions. Room was nice.. but was quite small.. cases lived under the bed . .and there was little or no hanging space ... but nice beds and bath shower room. Locked also a little tricky to workout button to lock from inside .. .and card to lock door from outside ... but don't unlock again right away or it gets confused and won't lock it all worked .. but few instructions would have helped A lovely stay and I would recommend Rom: Quite small Aktiviteter i nærheten: Everything on the doorstep Sikkerhet: All good Fremkommelighet til fots: Everywhere Mat og drikke: Free coffee in recepition
The hotel is perfectly located in the centre, right next to the famous fish market.  The breakfast buffet is good with a big variety, like usually in scandic hotels. Check in and check out was very quick and easy. Price value was okay, I would have expected a slightly bigger room for this price.Rom: 4/5
Overall, wanted a hotel chain that was not involved in anything controversial and had good sustainability records. This hotel was authentic and built in the early 20th century and best of all had Scandinavian/Norway roots and not a global chain which is what I was looking for! The hotel was in an excellent location in a city centre and it was easy to walk everywhere, the train station, the taxi from the airport dropped us off right outside the hotel, the funicular and museums and wharf were all within 10-15 minutes away. Many shops and restaurants are nearby too. The breakfast was good, a range of fresh jam and the bread was of good standards. They had a nice cinnamon bun and waffle, so it was good to try their authentic snacks. They had melon and fruits as well with a selection of cheese, I liked their brown cheese the best personally. There is a 100% organic hot chocolate and coffee machine in the lobby for hotel guests to use and takeaway. The welcoming hotel lady 'upgraded' us to a nice room with a view of the Bryggen Wharf and beautiful mountains, quite similar to the view you would find in the breakfast room too. It was a clean, spacious room with soft bedding which made it a comfortable stay. There was some noise from the main road which the reception warned us about as it is close to the night activities but thanks to the blacked out curtains and our deep sleep we didn't get affected by it. We had the option to change if we wanted but we were happy with it. The only downside I would say is the two single beds were together for the room as we thought it was double but it was very comfortable though and we had a good sleep. If it was stapled together it might be better so it doesn't move when in the edges. The room was clean and of a good size with calming colours and lovely brown wooden flooring and was showing La Liga football on the TV which had great screen quality. All in all, a friendly hotel in a perfect location.
In summary, I've listed down the pros and cons below: Pros + Very near to restaurants and supermarket + Breakfast buffet provided + Nice clean room which is just the right size for 2 or 3 pax + Nice view from the room + Hot water is consistent + Receptionist is professional and friendly Cons: - Door need to double tap to lock. May forget to lock the door if forgetful - Pillows are too soft personal preference
