Bestilte hjortebiff medium. Fikk hjelstekt oppdelte kjøttbiter med enormt med potet og sopp og grønnsaker. En enorm nedtur. Kona bestilte blåskjell og var meget fornøyd med det, men fikk ikke brød som tilhørte retten før hun etterhvert bad om det. Servitører var vi lite fornøyd med da de var lite service innstilt. Fikk en god hvitvin og de glemte å ta betalt for det, men gikk inn og betalte i etterkant. Forbedringspotensiale er enormt.
Visiting this restaurant was one of the best decisions we made during our trip through Norway. The food was very tasty, fish was perfectly cooked! Also the prices and portions were really reasonable. In addition to traditional fish dishes, we also ordered a vegetarian alternative it is not on the menu, but they will be happy to prepare it for you. The service was also very nice and helpful. Overall, visiting Sjøstjern was a very pleasant experience Alternativer for vegetarianere: It is possible to order a vegetarian disch, but it is not in the menu, so you have to ask the service.

Food: good Price-performance ratio: okay Waiting time: extreme The price was okay. The waitress was very stressed but nice and tried her best, although she barely knows any english. We ordered two main dishes and one starter and then waited... Nobody in the restaurant got food for about an hour, then it slowly started coming. Eventually when the ones who came after us got their food, we asked the waitress. Short after we finally got our food, after waiting 1h and 46min!! At least it was good. By the way, there is absolutely nothing for vegetarians or vegans. Besides dessert and side dishes Alternativer for vegetarianere: Absolutely nothing for vegetarians and vegans
Thank you for the review : First of all we're sorry there were misunderstanding in communication with our waitress and for the long waiting time. Our cashier did put out ~1200 Nok instead of ~1300 on the card terminal. But you did put the amount which said on the receipt. So thats on your fault and not ours. Your reply makes no sense-you could have easily refunded me in cash, you cant acknowlege your waitresses are not trained and your poor atitude
This restaurant was recommended to us. We went and were waiting an hour for a prawn coctail starter for one. We were one and half hours waiting for halibut. They came out with one dish only although there were two of us there and we had ordered two. The halibut was delicious but my husband was then convinced to accept another dish halibut all gone at that stage which he did not like and was unable to eat. After arguing with staff we were of the opinion they were not going to charge us for second dish but when we got back to hotel we realised they'd charged us for everything. I realise the waitress didn't have good English and misunderstood us but we are not happy at all that they refused to take responsibility for the mix up and delay in service and argued with us again when we phoned to complain we were charged for uneaten meal. Absolutely appalling service and behaviour, I wouldn't recommend anyone use this restaurant
Lunch time menu is very reasonably priced. The fish soup and the bacalao were delicious. I would definitely go back. Cozy place, but very quiet when we went in so lacked atmosphere. There were a couple of things unavailable from the linch menu as well.Mat: 5/5
Wow! We were completely blown away by the staff, service and food here. You must book a table in advance - we saw lots of people being turned away at the door. The waitresses were smiley and friendly. The food was incredible. I had the Fish'an Exclusive which was basically fish and chips - by far the best I've had in Norway and I've lived here for almost 3 years. My partner had the klippfisk and was also very impressed. The scallop starter and the chocolate fondant dessert were the perfect start and end to a lovely evening.
Food was great and delicious; based on local tradition. We had the bacalao, basilikum marinert klippfisk, ostegratinert klippfisk. The portions were well-sized and the service friendly. Would come back for sure.Mat: 5/5
Veldig hyggelig og koselig restaurant! Kjempe god mat! Store porsjoner, veldig fin smak og tilberedelse! Jeg kan bare anbefale! Stengt på Søndag!
