SMAK - Nordnorsk Matfestival er en matfest for og av hele Nord-Norge.

Historie

Tromsø ligger midt i matfatet. Norges nest største landingssted for fisk, vertskap for prisbelønte produsenter av kjøttvarer, dyrkede produkter av svært høy kvalitet, gode restauranter og matutdanning til å være stolt av. SMAK vil vise mangfoldet av de fantastiske råvarene og matkulturen som finnes i landsdelen vår.

SMAK skal være en møteplass for matinteressert publikum, produsenter, grossister, detaljhandel, serveringssteder og andre relaterte virksomheter.

An exceptionally pleasant and palatable experience! Elegant yet down-to-earth setting and servicing. Refinement and finesse in the kitchen yet with blessed and oh so welcome simplicity. A humble enthusiasm and love of local and seasonal omnipresent. Strongly recommended!!Mat: 5/5
We reserved a reservation at the Restaurant Smak the same day we arrived. This was not typical as reservations are needed days in advance. The hostess Linda was able to find us 2 spots because other reservations dropped at the last minute. We had no idea what a magical night was in store for us. The environment was very intimate and beautifully decorated. We felt we were being welcomed in by family. We were introduced to each tasting dish with excellent English, and attention to detail. Every dish was exquisite, unique, and very delicious. My wife and I felt we had experienced the best of what Norway had to offer. We had over 18 courses, paired with non-alcoholic drinks. There was always something amazing being prepared in front of us, or to be enjoyed. This was hands down the most professional, delicious, and welcoming fine dining experience I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend anyone to try this restaurant, and to come back again and again. Especially for Espen’s smoked carrots! Thank you again for an unforgettable evening.
We had a wonderful evening at Smak restaurant. Eva-Linda and the kitchen team did everything to ensure that we lacked nothing. A very warm service and a fantastic menu. Each course was a poem and was lovingly served. Products from the region and great wine recommendations to go with it. The non-alcoholic accompaniment was also excellent and went wonderfully with each course. When visiting Tromsø, this restaurant should definitely be at the top of your list!
An exceptional restaurant, one of the best in the world let alone in the Arctic Circle. I encourage the team that gives out Michelin ratings to as quickly as possible acknowledge what an impeccably crafted experience Eva-Linda and her colleagues have assembled. Exquisite! The perfect way to describe the experience. Such wonderful and friendly hosts. I can't stop talking about the beautiful food Espen and crew prepared for us. If you are headed to Tromsø and enjoy elegante dining, this is your place. The food, every bite of it is so delicate and has so much flavor. Let me suggest pairing the amazing food with wine. We enjoyed watching, conversing and all that comes with this epic restaurant. Keep up the unique flavors and we will see you again. Kind regards from Colorado.
Fantastic Nordic meal in the arctic that beautifully utilizes the local produce, seafood and game. Impressed by the quality and attentiveness of the service with such a small operation. The non alcoholic juices were delicious and made in house with local produce and complemented the meal well. Similar quality to previously dined at Michelin 1 Stars and for a reasonable price, One word of warning for planning your day it is a 5-6 hour experience.
This restaurant is superb. The chef and his team prepare a delightful sequence of 14 or 16 courses, each one of which is a culinary work of art. Traditional and local foods dominate, but the preparation and combinations are surprising and incredibly delicious. Norwegian gastronomy at its modern best. Book early. It‘s worth the wait and Michelin should put this on their list.
Excellent and refined cuisine. Amazing local products and great harmonies in the diffenrent flavours and textures. Should be rates 1 to 2 stars at the Michelin guide. One weakness : although rythm between courses was really good for the 6 first services, it started to be longer and too long from 7th to 14th and appetite went away. Amazing Reindeer and carrots with pine bids flavour and outstanding Halibut & Seaweed
This place is an entertainment park of food! Their amazing course took 4 hours to finish. The chef is so dedicated to every details and ingredients , and makes all the dishes you get made from scratch by him. His wife serves every table and she is very professional yet friendly, making our time so enjoyable. I didn't find their wine paring wasn't so impressive, but not bad. I will come back for sure!!
A hidden gem. A small 20 seats dining room with 3 of the hardest working chefs. Wonderful tasting menu, unique dishes with local food. The open kitchen style allows you to see your food prepared. My favorite thing that I still talk about - the blue cheese icecream and the waiting hotdog. January 2023Mat: 5/5
