What a beautiful place! An old school building with tons of history and lots of yhe original features left in place. The owner lady is absolutely lovely and very accommodating. We arrived late but still managed to get a room. The room was clean and tidy and I have to say I slept like a log in the mega comfy bed with the down duvet. For breakfast you have the option of meat, fish or vegetarian. I took fish and it was absolute delicious with smoked salmon, mackerel and herring and my husbands vegetarian was equally nice. The homemade strawberry jam was to die for and what was left my husband just ate with a spoon it was so good. The location is spectacular of course, right by the Lyngenfjord. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area. I simply cannot understand how anyone has found anything negative to say in their reviews. I guess if you're looking for 5 star luxury and marble floors this is not your place but if, like us yoj want a more authentic experience then this is for you. Thank you so much for an excellent stay
Fulfilled all our needs when we travelled to see Blåvatnet the next morning. The location was excellent when traveling along our route when coming by car from northern Finland. The rooms were very nice, had a simple interior but were clearly planned with a lot of thought and were really cozy. The building itself was interesting to have a look at, being an old building with a little bit of history and style to itself.
Hadde en meget dårlig opplevelse på dette hotellet, ikke er det lyd tette rum siden det er 15cm med mellom rom i dørene å gulvet. Hotell vakten prøver å bestemme at vi ikke får gå ut på kvelden å mener vi må gå inn, vakten va frekk å ikke hyggelig. Blei ringt å truet av hotell eierne på at vi måtte slette en av tilbake meldingene vi hadde gjort på hotellet tidligere å sa at hvis vi ikke sletter anmeldelsen så skulle dem politi anmelde oss. Ikke bra hotell å anbefaler ikke
Exceptional accommodation in the centre of the Lyngen Alps, very friendly team, very quiet and really cosy and comfortable beds, slept very well. Many activities are possible directly from the accommodation - such as ski tours, cross-country skiing, snowshoe hiking, ice bathing and much more - a clear recommendation.Rom: 5/5
Very unique place to stay in Lyngen Alps and a comfortable base to enjoy the mountains. Food is very good, rooms are clean and warm, shared bathrooms are big and clean, big ski room and available parking lot is useful. The team is always available. Suggested place to stay!Rom: 5/5
Solhov was a PERFECT place to stay on our photography trip at the beginning of March! The staff was really kind, room was spacious and beautiful and the atmosphere of this 100-year-old castle was something I have never experienced before! Highly recommended!
Wonderful nostalgic place in a breathtaking surrounding. The hosts and the cook were just great, familiar feeling and very kind. Everything like described , we would definitely recomend this place. The old building, softly renovated with passion, history meets present.
Terrible price to quality ratio. They don’t allow cooking nor eating your own food because ”someone had made a mess in the kitchen”??? We paid 40 USD for the dinner that consisted of the cheapest sausage on the market and rubbery potatoes.

Great room at a good price with a good dinner and breakfast. Very clean and cozy. Made us feel right at home! Aktiviteter i nærheten: Fuel, restaurants, groceries nearby.
