Our Sport Management programs are designed to prepare students to work in top managerial positions within the sport industry all around Europe and in a varied sports.
Molde University College was founded in 1994 and became a Specialized University in Logistics in 2010. It has approx. 2500 students of whom 250 are international students. It offers more than 30 different study programs ranging from nursing to petroleum logistics. Since 2004, Molde University College has offered a Ba degree in Sport Management, and since 2011 a unique fully fledged MSc program, taught in English. The Sport Management programs are designed to prepare students to work in management positions in the sport and sport-related industry. The programs intend to provide a solid understanding of sport management as it is practiced in the Norwegian and European contexts, and introduce the students to the legal, ethical, financial, organizational, historical, political and psychological issues they must be familiar with if they are to meet the demands of this growing industry. The Molde MSc in Sport Management offers students the chance to choose between two study options: “Managing Football” and “Marketing, Media and Sponsorship”. The program is open to both Norwegian and international students.
