Historie

Stavanger Speech Therapy is owned and operated by Hilary Page Stautzenberger, a board certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Trained in the U.S., Hilary maintains her license with the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and with the Texas State Board of Speech-Language Pathologists.

Hilary received her Bachelor of Science degree in communication disorders from Texas State University. She earned her Master of Science degree in speech-language pathology at North Texas University where she specialized in evaluation and treatment of childhood speech and language disorders.

Hilary has worked in many different clinical settings including private practice, early intervention, and public schools. She has experience working with children aged 18 months to 18 years and with a great variety of speech and language disorders including articulation disorders, language delay, autism spectrum disorder, Down’s syndrome, and cerebral palsy.

In April 2014, Hilary and her family relocated from Texas to Norway. The Stavanger region is very culturally diverse and it was during this time that Hilary developed an interest in multilingualism and its affects on language acquisition and development in children.

Family involvement is critical to the success of any treatment program and Hilary encourages and empowers parents and caregivers to become active participants in the therapy process. She currently lives in Tananger with her husband, son, and two dogs.
