Stokke was a municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Stokke. On January 1st 2017, the municipality, along with Andebu, became a part of the new Sandefjord municipality.BackgroundThe municipality of Stokke was established on January 1st 1838 . The name is the plural form of stokkr which means "log". Coat-of-armsThe coat-of-arms is from modern times. They were granted on 13 January 1984. The arms are canting since stokker means "sticks" or "logs". The arms show three gold-colored tree trunks on a red background.
