Call us basic but my wife and I loved the dal tadka and Biryani vegetal at this restaurant. Two dishes you can't really go wrong ordering and they really delivered with rich, authentic flavour. Make sure to ask not to bring the raita, as we did specify vegan and they confirmed the raita is on the side so the Biryani can be vegan, but unfortunately they served it with the raita anyway. Their samosas and plum chutney were also very good!
Veldig imøtekommende betjening som gir deg en fin velkomst. De gir deg gode innspill til hvilken mat som kan passe for deg, og følger deg opp under hele oppholdet. Maten er nydelig, med gode porsjoner som er appetittvekkende presentert.
Surprised to find a good quality and fresh restaurant in Ålesund with Halal chicken meat being served. Food was prepared fresh including naan. Service was excellent. Owner was very humble and informative. At the end, Chai was really a treat.
We had the Taj gril and shrip… The gril came a bit burned from under layer. taste was dry.. Shrimp dish wasn’t very well balanced. We had lots of Indian food before, as well in India.Mat: 2/5
We were craving Indian food and this place hit the spot! We ended up going there twice, we loved it so much. The butter paneer was so delicious. The owner was so sweet and friendly and he took great care of us. My son likes yogurt with his rice and he brought that for us. Great place for vegetarians :Mat: 5/5
Good Pakistani/Indian restaurant with authentic desi food. Both Biryani and butter chicken that we tasted were really good. The ambience of the restaurant is very nice with good seating options. The owner is really friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our time here and would only recommend itMat: 5/5
For the short time we were here, this restaurant really brought us the sun we needed. The meals are all really raffined and you can feel the quality of the ingredients. I recommend 100%
Thought this was good Indian restaurant but turned out to be an okay place. The tandoori was probably good but all the entrees curries have the same flavor. Chilli chicken was Chinese hot and sweet sauce with tandoori chicken, this was the base for all the food! Everything was sweet! And in the end we found this place was run by Pakistani not actual Indian! Duh! If you’d like to serve Indian no offense please stick to the authenticity a little bit!
Mr Fahim provides excellent service at Tajmahal. The food is very nice for vegetarians. To find food at this far place is Norway was amazing. If you come to Alesund you should try this Indian restaurant.Mat: 5/5
Alltid god mat og hyggelige porsjoner. Spist Mix grill flere ganger og er kjempe godt! Koselig lokale og svært hyggelig betjening. Anbefales! Parkering: Masse ledig på gateparkering. Gratis etter 1600
