High quality small airport. Everything was running smoothly during our visit. The layout is simple, with everything being very clean. A few shops and snacks airside, but no extensive facilities so wouldn't want to be here long.
I came here from Helsinki , arrived at 7 am. Nice new terminal . Walked to the luggage hall , luggage came about 10 min after we landed , walked through customs to the departure hall , self check luggage and off I went to the security which I can see potentially be a problem . It looked small . And I had to take all my camera gear out which is very seldom nowadays . Nice small terminal , couple of cafes and shop . Tip, the cafe near international section has a proper coffee machine !
My wife and I flew out of Tromso to Stockholm. Most flights from Tromso are domestic, with only two gates 18 and occasionally 19 servicing international flights. The airport is clean and well maintained, but it does not have an airport lounge, even though SAS advertises as having one there. They do not. Per an airport employee, it has been closed the last 2-3 years. Getting Global Tax Refund was fairly easy. It is done at the bookstore to the right after security.
Excellent small airport with all facilities required and staff also helpful. The security check was fast and easy. Good eating options and shopping too. The view is also good from the terminal
I arrived here from Copenhagen and it was a very good experience, the only place I see room for improvement is that the baggage can take a while getting even though it’s a fairly small airport, therefore I give it a 4/5
If you are traveling with a bike, make sure to check if there are no cartboard boxes available near the airport I found them on the side closer to Circle K before buying a box elswhere. For example, at XXL, I paid 200 NOK for the box and also had to transport it to the airport can be tough, but finaly chose another option found at the airport. Modern, clean airport, looks like it is possible to stay there overnight if you need to wait for a flight early in the morning.
We arrived on a flight from FRA. The airport is under renovation, so there's a lot of drilling and non accessible areas. The airport is small and divided oddly probably due to renovation. Getting off the plane, you are walking to the terminal, no bus or sleeve. There's a little store inside. Continuing to baggage area, it's a mini tiny belt, and you have to wait till they take the suitcases off the belt and only then you can take it. The next area is under construction and has another bigger store with a coffee shop. You pass it, go outside, and it is the car rental area! Signage is good but still makes you wonder what's going on and why there's so many sections. We had a lot of luggage and managed to walk all the way to the car rental area with a cart. Another option is a free shuttle service every 10 minutes, but keep in mind you won't have a cart and have to carry your luggage by hand. Car rentals are located in a long trailer home. The entrance is downhill on gravel. It is a small&narrow space with limited waiting area that can hold only a few people with luggage. We left our luggage outside cause there was no room to put it when we arrived. It's definitely an adventure! I believe it's due to renovations and temporary but that's the current situation.
Small and compact airport. Terminal C is specially for flight to stop and doing the immigration before continue to Svalbard.
If you have light luggage & heading to the city, I would recommend you catch the bus. The cheapest way
Not the worst airport I’ve been to, but I was there during the big renovation so to say it was an inconvenience was an understatement. There was barely any information, the place was cluttered and overall messy and dirty from the renovation and people. I had the bad luck to arrived 3 hours before my flight and got nowhere to wait except on some benches around the unsecured baggage claim area. They had electrical sockets so I can be content for a few hours.. on the other hand, I was astounded by the high numbers of unclaimed lost? baggages.. something was really wrong there. My flight was from the terminal C but I had to put my luggage on the main terminal.. another ridiculous thing was they supposed to have a shuttle between the terminals, but the terminal C was literally just steps away from the bus stop, I’m not exaggerating.. And stepping into the terminal C was just like stepping inside a nightmare! The temporary terminal was super crowded and so humid!
