Verdens Minste Kafe er en liten kafe i den koselige gågata i Skudeneshavn. Vi serverer et lite utvalg av stortsett økologiske kaffemat.
The Worlds Smallest Café is located in what has been deemed one of Norway's most gorgeous small towns. It's location and surroundings is nothing short of breath taking, on the southernmost tip of the island Karmøy in the county of Rogaland. In 1990, it won second prize in NORTRA's competition for Norway's Best Preserved Small Town. Skudeneshavn's old town (Gamle Skudeneshavn), consisting of 225 wooden houses, is regarded as one of the best preserved in Europe. In 2004, it was voted Norway's "Summer Town" by listeners to NRK Radio's Reiseradioen programme.
The town hosts several festivals throughout the year, and gets many visitors from all of the world, who are charmed by the atmosphere and sheer beauty of the place. The Worlds Smallest Café is connected to The Reinertsen House, located in Søragadå 23, which used to be the town bakery. The bread shelves are still intact in the cafe to this very day.
The café will be offering freshly made drinks and foods, comprised of seasonal, locally and ethically sourced produce. We will also offer an edited selection of products for sale, ranging from freshly baked goods, magazines, books, clothing and home wear. There will also be a more extensive selection available through our website. There will also be several events throughout the year, and a big focus un utilising the lovely gardens surrounding the building.
The Worlds Smallest Café is also directly linked to The Reinertsen House, where guests are able to book individual rooms, or apartments throughout the whole year. We also hire out the whole building for different larger parties and events.
We look forward to meet old and new guests in 2014!
