For me the sushirice was not well prepared. It lacked acidity, everything was with an added sauce or topping. The softshell crab was not crispy etc. Halibut sashimi was great. When you can order a table at 20:30 its not acceptable that the first announcement of the staff is that you can order until 21:00. It would also be nice if the staff can explain which beer they serve.
Sushi is delicious, fresh product. Do not try the sake if you like it dry they do not have dry options. Service was slow, take this into account if you are in a hurry to get to your cruise. Book in advance. Ps.. the best nigiri piece was the salmon bellyMat: 5/5
Great sushi place in city center by harbour. Wasn't to busy early afternoon on Monday. I can't compare the other places in Norway but you get the feel of fresh fish with your meal. I wasn't disappointed and both the service and the food absolutely met my expectations. Kudos to sushi chef!Mat: 5/5
The sushi was delicious. We mainly ordered rolls, which were fresh and good. My husband ordered the halibut nigiri, which he enjoyed. Unfortunately, it was quite busy when we arrived 5pm, so we were seated at the sushi bar--I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. It's also a little on the pricey side, but the sushi is quite delightful. Our orders weren't taken very quickly, but once they were taken, we received our food within 10 minutes. The matcha crème brûlée is to die for!! My only complaint: as we watched the sushi chef prepare sushi, I witnessed him drop a stack of seaweed on the floor, which he picked up and placed back on the stack he was using.
Fantastic restaurant! The sushi was delicious, some of the best I’ve ever had! The service was extremely efficient and the staff was very kind and accommodating. The atmosphere is lovely, you can see the ocean on one side and the chefs cooking on the other. I wish all restaurants were like this Spesielle kostholdsbehov: They were very accommodating for my gluten intolerance
It was an explosion of taste. Very delicious. We had grilled avocado, Crispy tamago Maki and Zuuma Maki and grilled salmon. Very friendly service although we came just 25 minutes before closing. Tussen takk. Alternativer for vegetarianere: There is an extra side vor vegeterian sushi.
If you want sushi in Norway, this is the place to be. Some of the best sushi I’ve had outside of Japan and fish is fresh. Salmon and halibut caught locallyMat: 5/5
My husband and I went here twice and loved it. The sushi is super fresh and tasty, and the prices for the sushi are on par with the US non-sushi items seem more expensive. We loved the zumakase platter and nigiri platter in particular! The restaurant also has great views of the water.Mat: 5/5
I got the pork bao bun and the shrimp tempura roll not pictured. It was good. The highlight of this meal was the duck. It was delicious, fatty, the sauce was good. It was the best duck I have ever had. The sauces on everything were spicy and flavorful. Our entire party of picky eaters gave this experience the highest rating. If you are in Ålesund- this is a must do stop!
