Alba i Mariefred

Nice little place right in Mariefred centre , walkable from the palace .nFood : pizza , salads , fish n chips all tasted good and well cooked .nStaff : helpfull & understanding .nPrice : moderate .nInteriors : cozy !

We had a delightful lunch at Alba I Mariefred with our friends. We ordered the Herr Wohrnes pizza. The dough, in particular, was exceptional, boasting a perfect balance of chewiness and crispness that made each bite a delight. Alba I Mariefred provided a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service, further enhancing our dining experience.

Surprisingly good, cozy and nice restaurant. We had fish, pizza and pasta and all the dishes were fantastic. Lovely with candles on all tables and soft music playing in the background. They also had a baby seat and some toys to play with so we parents could eat without being disturbed.

We came to eat lunch after a visit to Gripsholm Castle. It is a nice an cozy place seemed to be the choice for locals also with a nice decoration and really nice service. We ordered the köttbullar the typical Swedish dish and the skaldjursgryta a stew with fish, muscles and shrimp and both dishes were absolutely amazing!! VERY tasty. We were very happily surprised since we didn’t know the place and enjoyed a delicious meal with a nice IPA from a brewery nearby Stallarholmens, followed by some coffee with a little chocolate as a treat. Dishes are around 160kr each which is a very good value for price compared to Stockholm prices and considering the quality and tastiness. We really recommend this and will definitely come back. Good food, but quite ordinary selection, nothing very interesting to try out :p The portion was big.nnThere was a young girl waitress, so bubbly, so kind, really lights up the place!
