We had a stop here on our road trip and what can I say? We were very pleasantly surprised!nnThere's perfectly cooked pizza with genuine first class ingredients. Balanced amount of filling too. Even the dough has that sweet delicious taste! nnWe also tried the Vodka Pasta which has a nice rip and sting to it, liked it a lot! Pasta was also cooked al dente nnVery professional and kind service from the staff as well. Nicely furnished in a genuine way, clean restrooms as well!
I hadn't been here for 2years due to my last experience at Basta was so so. But decided to give it a try again. They have extended their space, fully glassed in at the outdoor seating area, and the menu has changed. The pastas were good, in fact they were better than the previous menu. We took a paradiso pollo and a allora mare. Both were equally flavourful! The paradiso pollo was a little too much of parmesan if you're not sharing the pasta it might be too heavy for a person. I'm giving the food a 3 star rating. As for drinks, I ordered a negroni and my partner, a limonata. I didn't finish the negroni but I took a few sips of my partner's limonata and it was so good. Please order it if u are here. The overall ambience was relaxing and chill, I wish they could dim the lights even more to give a more cozy vibe.
Nice surprise with such homely flavourful tastes from Italy. Fast service, friendly staff. Good deco, upbeat and nature themed restaurant. Food wise, the grilled prawns, clam & prawn pasta and spicy pepperoni pizza are good bets. Drinks wise, we enjoyed the lemonade and Bellini. We rounded off our meal with a very satisfying tiramisu and coffee.
Fabulous fresh Italian - wish I could give it 6 stars. Very welcoming staff great English, reservations no problem, prompt and attentive service and delicious food. Adult menu available in English, kids menu not but was straight forward for wait staff to translate. Our desert was delayed but we were offered a free one on our next visit. After heading to Romme Alpin for a week then back to Borlänge we made a second reservation while waiting for the train. Without us even mentioning it the staff realised it was us and offered us a free desert - NEVER had service like that before anywhere I the world. The Nutella pizza was outstanding as was the prawn/lemon pizza and the seafood pasta - fresh, perfect al dente pasta, rich but not overpowering sauce. The whole thing was perfection.
I ordered a pizza there, and it was probably the best pizza I’ve eaten in sweden. So with that said I’d recommend this place for sure! We had to wait quite a bit for our food to arrive but it was worth every minute.
