This hotel is primarily focused on hosting larger groups. However, our stay was generally good. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. In particular, Nova at the bar/buffet area made us feel very welcome. She provided much information on the area and local vibe. The facility had lots of common areas, for sitting, billiards, etc. The paid dinner buffet was not expensive but it was quite limited in options for a main course. This may be due to the hotel not focusing on non-group guests.nnThe rooms were spacious and included a balcony. The bathroom and shower facilities worked well. There was also a decent view of the waterfront from our balcony. However, the room was somewhat of a “no frills” experience: No toiletries or features provided that you may find in a typical budget hotel or higher. Specifically, no shampoo, conditioner, lotion, extra towels, etc. Also, the was no refrigerator in the room.nnWe found the location good for our purposes: Walkable to the central train station/town and to a Walkable to a nice waterfront park/trail.nnThe area suited our purposes because there were few tourists, so we were able to meet masny nice local residents.nnThere are a few things to note for travelers coming from North America: 1. King size beds are actually 2 twin beds pushed together with separate mattresses. 2. Room doors swing out into the hallway, so open them slowly so as not to hit a passer by. 3. Bathrooms have a step when entering which may trip an unsuspecting guest. 4. The heating system is based upon a radiator, so you don’t have immediate control of the room temperature as with forced air systemsnnWe should also mention in fairness; the hotel had several other amenities that we didn’t take advantage of, which may be bonuses for other travelers.
This is just a really amazing hotel and perfect for a conference or meetings. They have a lot of great meeting rooms with good climate and airflow. Stunning views. Cozy spa, a lot of activities like Shuffleboard, Pool, Table Tennis, Chess and a playroom for the kids. And one of the best perks of this place, free candy and soft-serve ice cream during the day and hot dogs in the evening. I just love the place and absolutely recommend you to visit this gem.
Went in Aug'25 wirh family of 4, It is one of the amazing places to walk around lake and view sunset from roof top while enjoying your drink and food! Spa area is also very nice! Lovely nd helpful staff!
The hotel looks nice at first sight, but it's getting pretty worn out, and it's about time to do something about it. It's also overpriced when compared to Scandinavian hotel standards.nnNice lounge for drinks, and the restaurant was okay. We had their pre-made evening supper, which was meatballs and potatoes. They had a small salad bar and tomato soup and some bread, which was reasonable priced.
We had very good experience by attending a conference in the place, the main dishes was ok not amazing but the appetizers was very delicious.nThe place was quiet and the service was ok as we have to wait in the buffet for few minutes before they refilled up the buffet with new dish of fish.nThe view from the conference room was fantastic.nThe toilets were clean and overall the place was nice.
