Bökevik

Bökevik is a place you fall in love with immediately. Especially if you just come down from cold Norway – Bökevik hits you like a warm, gentle shock. It simply feels like pure paradise. Honestly, there is not much that is more beautiful.nSwimming here is something very special: you lie in the clear water and look up at the soft, round rocks, while the landscape opens up around you. In the background you can make out the windmill on the rock, which gives the place an almost iconic calm and balance. It is a sight that you don't just see – you feel it.nEverything seems natural and perfectly coordinated: the rocks, the water, the silence and the light. It is a place where you think: oh well, that's why you travel. You have to say that it is almost unreasonable how beautiful it is here – you are a bit spoiled.nWithout exaggeration, this is one of the most beautiful places in Sweden that I have personally bathed. A place that sticks and stays. Five stars – and they are the very quiet, very convincing kind.

Good for families with small children.nnNice sandy beach with trees near the shore that provide nice shade. Nice view.nThere is a kiosk that sells sausages, ice cream and drinks. There is a toilet 50-60 meters from the beach.nQuite a lot of people but not crowded.

Nice swimming area with shallow beach, full of crabs. Some seaweed, but mostly nice sandy beach. Also shade from trees, possibility to sit on lawn, rocky rock or pier. Kiosk. Paved road from the parking lot. About 5 min walk.

Beautiful coarse sandy beach with crabs under the stones. Great for kids to fish and play in.

Large and child-friendly beach. But I think there are better places on the island. However, it was good to swim here if you come by car like we did. Only sad that it was full of oysters on the bottom that you can easily cut yourself on. Also a bit sad view of Lysekil's industrial area.
