Great spot with stones and sand for kids
Beutiful beach
There is a free, large parking lot where you can also park overnight and pitch your tent on the beach. It was well attended, both during the day and at night. There is also a simple toilet and trash cans, and the beach was also very clean. Right next to the beach there is a national park where you can go hiking.
Beautiful fine sandy beach on the west coast of Öland, near the Raukare and with a very large parking space +
Magical, but also well-visited small beach in summer with a view of “the Blue Virgin”. Right on the edge of a nature reserve, which mainly consists of a large, open pine forest. According to a knowledgeable statement from an experienced holiday acquaintance, Swedish Nazis got involved in the turmoil of World War II by setting up luxurious holiday homes in the middle of the forest without permission, taking advantage of the confusing location and their status. According to the fellow holidaymaker, 90% of today's summer residents are their heirs.nThis is my third time there and I find this story more believable from one visit to the next:nIn 2015 there was still a kiosk, a motorhome parking space, two clean toilets and a fresh water tap.nIn 2019 the kiosk had disappeared and I had to witness one of these “old Swedish nobility” holiday home owners three young Belgians who had pitched their blue tent for one night still allowed in Sweden! on the beach, shortly before nightfall the twilight with threatening aggressiveness.nIn 2022 the motorhome parking space will also disappear. Only cars are now allowed to park there between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m.nThere are also a lot of shiny prohibition signs with telephone numbers for the deputies and professional police officers. Houses in the adjacent forest are being extensively renovated.nDay-to-day activity on the beach is still very lively, and the corresponding mountains of rubbish remain high or have increased.nWhat a shame!nP.S.: The photos are from 2015 - except for the screenshot excerpt from the aerial photo from Google Maps.
