Café Valvet

We were greeted immediately after walking in by friendly staff, who made small talk about the weather and were overall super nice, bringing the menus fast explaining which options are unavailable, bringing water and accommodating us by helping move two tables together. The menu was only in Swedish and a highchair was available, but it was too tall for some tables and didn't have it's own table. Upon ordering, they offered to make a kids version of the meatballs for the little one which was very useful. We enjoyed the mussels very much, and the visit was a pleasant experience! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly!

We had lunch at Café Valvet in Sigtuna and tried three dishes, köttbullar, tortellini pasta, and a Caesar salad. Each dish was around 200 SEK, and the portions were really generous for the price. The pasta was okay, but the meatballs and Caesar salad were the most enjoyable. The staff was friendly and the cozy atmosphere made the experience even better.

This was absolutely delicious. On a day trip to Sigtuna I was looking for meatballs and found myself at a place with free salad, dessert and drinks too. Highly recommend the experience for solo travellers, thank you to the team for explaining about the salad bar to me and big props to the young woman who was on her first day.

Love it!! Very hospitable! We walked in the moment it opened. Classy decor. I liked they kept the wall made out of security boxes as it was a bank at one time. We wanted brunch and they accommodated us an hour early. Music was playing and it perfect….wasn’t to loud. Coffee was delicious! Orange juice was a delight! Like a pineapple orange juice. Food presentation is beautiful. Everything tasted delicious! This family own business is a place i recommend visiting and supporting!
