This camping location provides breathtaking vistas of the ocean. A diverse range of activities are available on a daily basis. I strongly advise spending at least one night here.

Stay away! Booked 2 nights in the small red cabins. Football teenagers checked in, in surrounding cabins. They made such a noise their whole visit, which spoiled the whole visit with our new born. The worst was in the night, where like 15 teenagers were making noises just outside our window.nIt wasn't until 2 hours a Securitas car came and chased them away, making it a little better.nnDidn't get no deduction for the night which was impacted, as they said there was nothing to do about it afterwards. Additionally, 900 SEK for cleaning and 220 SEK for 2 pair of bed sheets and towels is a bit of a stretch in such a place in my opinion.nnWould recommend staying in a Varberg hotel or a cabin elsewhere if you value your and your baby's sleep.

One the best camping ground when we were in Sweden. Service houses are clean and well equiped. Close to the beach. Small convenient store is just around the corner. Staffs were absolutely amazing and friendly. We asked for a change for our camping ground, they were kind enough to accommodate our request. Choose this place if you are looking for comfort and pleasant stay.

We are very, very disappointed. A bare camp site next to a railroad, not a tree in sight, just a sea of campers and caravans, and appartments on the side. It’s not a pretty or beautiful place, sadly, and everything is completely open to the elements. No cosy places, no shadow, no privacy.nnWe booked a cottage for two persons and a dog and opened the door to a very old cabin, that looked clean at first, but was dirty and dusty, the shower full of mould. The boiler too small to shower warm for more than 5 minutes, so two adults can’t shower after each other. The only thing we really liked was the quality of the beds you have to make them yourself. Unfortunately due to frequently passing cargo! trains in the night, we got hardly any sleep.nnWe booked this place since dogs were allowed. And unfortunately, it’s only that: allowed. Maybe use the word: “tolerated” On a lead. They can’t do their business anywhere on the camping, so even for a quick wee, you have to walk off the camp site. There is a doggy shower near the beach but it’s quite pointless, because dogs aren’t allowed on the beach even with a lead on!, let alone in the water for a swim. A very nice lady at the reception pointed us to some beaches where dogs are allowed: but a 15 minute drive away. So our stay here was rather pointless and frustrating.nnGood points: fantastic food at the bodega, very nice staff at the reception and in the cafe and shop.nnNot so good: opening hours of the swimming pool are ridiculous. An option for an early morning or late night swim maybe adults only? would be welcome. The sanitary buildings are old, same goes for the washer and dryer. They do the job, but it costs 40 SEK per wash or dry cycle no washing powder included, which you have to put on a card at the reception.nnAll in all, we are very disappointed. Apelviken promises to be a five star camping. Pretty preposterous if you ask me. We didn’t see any of that ambition during our stay, except for the nice staff. Due to the railroad sitution and the way dogs are “tolerated”, the stiff pricing and many other reasons, we won’t visit Apelviken again.
