Story

It’s hard to stay in fashion when it’s freezing outside. In Sweden, by the end of October, we’ve put away our loafers, heels and brogues and taken out our warm, heavy boots to prepare for a long winter. They’re not always the trendiest of choices, but who can think of style when battling the elements?

For a long time, for some reason, this idea has extended to our indoor winter wear as well. We Swedes, who put so much care and effort into what we wear the rest of the year, once inside, take our big boots off and slip into oversized slippers or fluffy woolen socks! It’s as if it never occurred to anybody that once we’re indoors, there’s no reason why we can’t be fashionable again.

We finally got tired of spending the winter feeling dowdy and unfashionable, so we began a search for a chic yet snug and comfortable indoor shoe. We wanted something suitable for the office, a dinner party, or just hanging out at home. But we couldn’t find a single one that fit the description. Nothing on the market combined style and sophistication with warmth and comfort. And that’s how the idea of Flattered came into being. We decided that if it didn’t already exist, we would design and manufacture our own shoe that had all the qualities we were looking for.

At Flattered, we want you to feel feminine and elegant, but at the same time cozy and relaxed, whether it’s at work, at a party, or in your own home. We want both you and your feet to feel flattered when you have them on.
