Grave site with several grave markers and interesting information board at the entrance.
Here the wings of history are whizzing. In this large area there are both graves and several house foundations from the Viking Age. Here, “exotic” finds have been found that otherwise rarely occur in the Swedish Viking Age finds, including an Irish krekla and Irish book bindings, an Egyptian Coptic scoop, Roman gold coins, a rare Frisian sceatta coin and East Baltic jewelry. However, the Buddha figure is considered the most remarkable find as it is unique in a Nordic Viking Age context.nThe Buddha figure comes from India, was made sometime in the 5th-7th century and, experts believe, was brought to the Black Sea region by traders to become part of the Vikings.
Informative signs and markings.
