Hotell Åsen

First of all I would like to start with reviewing a staff who works in this hotel and everyone is absolutely lovely friendly, attentive and smiling all the time so thank you for everyone who makes guests feel welcomed. Downstairs at the lobby and waiting area reception restaurant and lounge is beautiful clean, nice interior with a lot of of details, and it’s just a pleasant place to spend time in, have a food or have a drink. however, the rooms are very basic no mini fridge, the bathroom, shower and the toilet definitely would need a changing and renovation. The bed is comfortable though pillows are cheap, poor quality and not giving you the best rest on them. If someone needs a really quiet time in accommodation then they should ask the receptionist to offer them the room in the back side of the building because me personally I was staying just above the outside restaurant outside seating, and people were enjoying themselves and making quite a bit of noise. The food that it’s included in accommodation if you choose a breakfast and evening meal it is OK, not too many options but food is tasty and it’s definitely enough to have a nice nutritious meal. This hotel does not offer even one drink with your dinner, it’s just a water. Wi-Fi is good and didn’t close any problems while working on the laptop. Close by there is a supermarket if anyone needs some essentials.

Perfect place if visiting Anderstorp for business. It feels like to be at home but with all the comfort of a good hotel. Excellent service.

Perfectly situated near the race track. Stands up to the standard given the price. Breakfast attracts other than the guests. Guess that is a good sign. Still uses plastic punch card keys which feels less safe. Probably busy during race events so book early. Charming pictures and like from the days when F1 was here.

For a hotel that has been renovated in the last year what a disappointment.nThe rooms were below standard.n* No double bedsn* Old fashioned shower curtains in the bathroom.n* Heating wasn’t working.n* No tea/coffee facilities in the room but if you wanted one you paid at the bar 30 SEK and was told on the last night of my stay walk up the stairs and make it yourself, really? How would you do this if you were disabled?n* How can a hotel not stock wine and spirits, this should be available to all guests as we are the ones paying the bill for it.nnAll in all for tea/ coffee, 4 cokes and possibly 6 beers for a 2 day stay our drinks came to just over 1000 SEK.nnI love Swedish design clean and modern but not this hotel the furniture looks like it was bought from a second hand furniture shop.nnWhen paying there was no please or thank you and for the price you paid that was the least the staff could do.nnWould not recommend this hotel, unfortunately for me I HAD to stay as I had a funeral in the church in Anderstorp and needed to be close by for last minute arrangements. I will NOT return.

Rooms are basic and the bathrooms are small. Nice breakfast and the lunch was great. Only negative thing was that we were told to go to our rooms at 10pm because the bar was shutting and we were not allowed to sit in the bar/lounge area.
