Thats one of the cutest, cosiest Hotels i know so far. When ever you have a chance to be around this hotel , you need stop there, even when you don't stay over night. The staff is just awasome, you feel like that you are part of the family. The charming heart warming way they serve and treat you is one of it kind. The museum attached, the restaurant everything just very special and unique. My rating - 5 stars are not enough to express how much I can recommend it.
Lovely older hotel in a great location right on the edge of Lake Vättern and the Göta canal. All the staff were lovely, great service and friendly. As a guest you also get access to the attached motor museum with some great exhibits.
This hotel has a very rustic and picturesque feeling to it. Everything is neat and tidy and the room is very spacious.nThe first thing that greets you when you walk into the reception is a whiff of engine oil and a few exhibits from the motorist museum adjacent to the hotel. The feeling continues as you walk through a part of the museum to get to the hotel rooms. If you are a classic car lover there's really no better choice of hotel and if you're not it still has a very pleasant and nostalgic air to it in general.
Superb location right on the water and a short distance from the city center. Room is small but cosy. Service is a bit limited due to Covid-19 however the staff is very pleasant and friendly this is the Swedish standard really :. You can visit the fantastic collection of old radios, mobile phones from the 90s and many old cars for free which by itself is worth a visit... If back in Motala, I will certainly stay here again...
We stopped in for a beer and we were chatted to by members of staff, who convinced my friend and I to stay for lunch. It was a good choice, with meat, fish and vegetarian options plus a host of salads and various vegetables. The chef chatted to us and it was obvious he cared about what he was doing. The hotel is close to the water and the entrance of a museum of nostalgia is inside. The motor museum is next door. My biggest complaint was about the rainy weather which I doubt the hotel can take much responsibility for. I didn't stay, so don't really know much about the rooms.
