Hven Durum

I love their cinnamon buns, even though I'm usually not a fan. They use sesame seeds instead of pearl sugar and the bread is not dry. The only downside is that I have to plan a trip to Ven whenever the craving for cinnamon buns hit.

This is primarily bakery, with a focus on locally produced durum wheat, which is not very common in Sweden. You can buy sweet bread and coffee and have a traditional Swedish fika. They also have ordinary bread both in Swedish, Danish, and Italian style. Everything I have tried has been very well produced. Not the cheapest there is, but a genuine tasty handcraft.

i went here five years ago with my mum and younger brother. we were cycling around the island and were looking for somewhere to get some food and cold water, and we ended up here! i'm not sure if he still works here or not, but the baker we talked to was a Triple J listener australian national radio for promoting indie music. we were the australians staying on the island for a week or so. here, they sell the best cardamom bread i've ever had!

Hidden gem on the island, they have their own mill to get the flour needed to vale heavenly savory and sweet treats. We had a cinnamon, a cardamom bun, a small focaccia and two bread buns. All of them were fluffy and baked to perfection, and you could really appreciate the prime quality of the ingredients. Plus, the small yard facing the small lodge is a truly charming spot, I wish I spent more time there! Given its proximity to the main road and sights on the island, I strongly recommend to take this narrow gravel road and step into a fairytale-like experience!

This is a nice little bakery with very friendly people. I tried a Kanelbulle and a Kardemummabulle here. The dough is perfect, really light and fresh. One recommendation from me is to add a bit more kanel/kardemum, for a more intense flavour
