IKEA City - Stockholm

I had a great experience at IKEA in Stockholm. The store was clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate despite its large size. The showroom displays were inspiring and gave me plenty of ideas for home furnishings and storage solutions.nnThe staff were friendly and helpful whenever I had questions, and the checkout process was efficient. I was also impressed by the wide selection of products, from affordable basics to stylish furniture and home décor.nnThe restaurant was another highlight, offering tasty Swedish food at reasonable prices. Overall, this was an enjoyable shopping experience and a great place to experience a bit of Swedish culture while finding quality products for the home.

I was here on a Sunday around 3 and was surprised by the crowd at the restaurant. I didn’t try to eat. I did shop. There was some limited stock but I still found several items. I found the layout confusing, but it was my first time and I don’t know any Swedish. It’s a good place to get some inexpensive souvenirs like candy, cookies, and trinkets small plates, dish clothes, notepads. Also a great place to buy a cheap umbrella and shopping bags.

An overwhelming and overcrowded experience that makes shopping a challenge.nnThis IKEA is incredibly busy, often to the point of being inconvenient for shoppers. Many visitors tend to sit permanently in the showroom displays, making it difficult to properly view the products. The restaurant is also heavily congested, and you should expect a very long wait just to get your food.

In August 2025, I visited 5 countries alongside my vegan friend, and we found some incredible spots! Even though I’m not vegan, I keep an open mind. When in Stockholm, you absolutely must dine at IKEA! They have the best ordering system, service, and food. I couldn’t snap a photo of my soft serve ice cream because I devoured it in mere seconds. Plus, it’s budget-friendly!!

Handy to have an IKEA in the middle of the city, though of course it's not the standard warehouse experience. Great for picking up smaller items!
