Go here if you like a cozy atmosphere, with a home feeling and nice beer. But I cannot speak the same for the food, I had the Schnitzel which was a dry piece of gray meat. For the price I expected a bit higher standard.

I was served by 2 young girls for my fika. I had soda and a cinnamon bun. The bun is soft and very delicious as I had it freshly baked and warm. I ended up order 2 more as it would be the softest and most delicious cinnamon bun I have ever eaten in Sweden. I live in stockholm and had try many cinnamon buns, but nothing is as good as this. #thesoftestscrumptiouscinnamonbun

In May 2016, I was an exchange student at Lund and decided to visit ales stenar by bus but was trapped in the area as the bus back never arrived in the evening. Not knowing what to do, I visited this cafe and was deeply touched by the kindness this old couple had showered me. Despite conversing in limited English, they went through all sorts of trouble making calls to Skånetrafiken and friends to figure out my situation. Knowing I might be hungry, they warmly served me absolutely delicious food - roasted meat, baked potatoes and salad - and didn't ask me to pay I still did anyway. I sat for hours in their cafe until a special van came to pick me up at 10pm. It was one of the best memories of summer last year and I often wonder how they're doing! If anyone sees this and is thinking of visiting them, please let them know that I am very thankful for their generosity and will never forget that evening!

We came here late in the evening and the kitchen was already closed.nBUT they were so friendly actually as friendly as family, so they cooked for us fresh pasta!!nIt was absolutely brilliant and so tasteful!nThe best and most friendly people we have met in Sweden!nI would recommend it to everyone.

Great food in an unexpected location. Family run, and also family ambiance at its best. Frequented by locals, which is a good sign.nL'hôte parle aussi français!
