New February 2024 gym in Helsingborg, a little outside the city centre.nGood wall variation with different angles from slab to overhang, and hold selection. Just like their location in Malmø the setting is great, super creative and the hold colors are used across grades to ensure maximum diversity.nShowers, sauna, cafe and shop with a selection of shoes, clothes and accessories.nParking just outside is payed with an app that I haven't tried elsewhere but worked fine.
Very nice bouldering gym. Friendly atmosphere. Creative route setting. Boulders for every level of climbing. Would come here again!
Nice gym, very friendly and supportive staff. Boulders are generally graded on the softer side. Good for the ego.nnThe quality of the boulders is mixed. Not every boulder was tweaked to it's fullest potential. A few styles are missing, very few comp-style boulders and little to no funky/playful stuff. Quite a few boulders had a very easy second half making them one movers. Still a 5 star review, we had a lot of fun, and the setting showed great potential. The hold selection was great. And the whole space and training facilities are really nice! This new gym will undoubtedly only get better.
Great place if you like climbing, or would like to get started. They have a bunch of walls you can scale freely, and soft mats underneath, when you fail.nnThe biggest drawback is that they, unlike the local Helsingborg Climbing Club K2, don’t offer any top rope or trail climbing. It’s all bouldering. But there’s plenty of it, including a led one where you can decide the problem using an app.nnOn top of the climbing stuff they also have a small coffee shop, a climbing gear shop, and a small gym for warming up. If you don’t have your own gear, they offer rentals.
The crew that brought you Klättercentret Malmö are responsible for this new addition to the indoor bouldering scene. Their passion for climbing and for providing climbers of all abilities a rewarding climbing experience shows through in the design of the place. The walls range from slabs through verticals to overhangs of varying degrees of steepness. These provide route setters with a versatile canvas on which to deploy their arcane arts to create problems from the most basic to the 'quite frankly should-be-illegal' devilish : The various walls are nicely spaced with simple benches in between that provide a welcome resting place mid-session. The quality of the route setting is what makes this centre and the one in Malmö stand out amongst other bouldering centres. A diverse team of dedicated route setters means that there is a great variety in the problems set. The grading is also much more consistent than in many other places. Whether you are an experienced boulderer, or just fancy having a go, you will find something to engage and challenge you and friendly staff to help you. Apart from the climbing, the centre has super clean and spacious changing rooms as well as a comfortable sitting area where one can enjoy a coffee and perhaps one of their signature 'ginger bites'.
