Kruttorn, provskjutningsplats för kanoner

An interesting memorial from another time when cannons were manufactured in Hälleforsnäs. It is a gunpowder tower that can only be seen from the exterior. The door is full of bullet holes, but it looks like the plates are reused and the bullet holes are very old. Hälleforsnäs Bruksmuseum with Pizzeria 500 degrees and the Bruksrestauranten are very close by. Google for opening times.

Interesting historical building from the time when Hellefors Styckebruk manufactured cannons. The gunpowder tower is located on a hill and has a cold-walled cannon platform adjacent to the building. The guns were test fired here before being transported to the army and navy.

Interesting, but nothing remarkable.
