Amazing building love at first sight nEasy access

Currently May 2025 in renovation but my God isn't this one of the most charming buildings I've ever seen!

Lund University Library offers a remarkable selection of books, magazines, and some few newspapers. The atmosphere is clean, quiet, and wonderfully relaxing—ideal for anyone who loves libraries. The staff are helpful and approachable, and the reading areas are particularly beautiful and inviting.nIt is a really old library but modern today, founded in 1666 and became a legal deposit library in 1698, meaning it receives a copy of every ! publication printed in Sweden.nThe building was designed by Alfred Hellerström and a few years ago was voted Sweden’s most beautiful building, so worth visiting even if are not interested in books.

Truly the most beautiful library I have ever been too!

visiting the Lund University Library for the first time and I’m truly enchanted. The historical architecture, covered with ivy, gives the building a fairytale-like charm. We’re currently enjoying our coffee in the garden while having a lovely conversation. It’s a perfect spot for reading in peace or simply soaking in the calm nature around. If you ever get the chance, don’t miss it!
