Reviews
Malmö City Library feels like two libraries that decided to live together and actually made it work. One side is classic and rustic, the other is all glass and modern, connected by a bright open space with high ceilings that makes you want to whisper even if no one told you to. Looking down into the big glass atrium from the upper floors is easily the highlight.nnThat said, the newer side’s second and third floors are a little… creaky. The floors squeak and feel slightly warped, which makes you wonder if water damage is part of the design story. The older side could also use a bit of freshening up, but honestly, that just adds to the charm.nnOverall, it’s a great place to slow down, wander, and pretend you’re way more intellectual than you actually are. Beautiful, peaceful, slightly imperfect, and very Malmö.
It's good and unlike many modern museums have a certain vibe to it.nnThere are multiple floors of books and plenty areas for working or enjoying a book.nnMy only suggestion would be to have a bit more text and details in English for the international folks.
The library is open for foreign visitors free of charge. You can find books in many languages of the world. Aside from reading, it is also possible to use computers, listen to music, there is a room for taking care of children and there is also a place where you can read newspapers. Events are also held often.
Stunning modern architecture library with thousands of books to browse through. Well equipped space for studying, working or simply reading your favorite book. They offer space for children and a restaurant
It's beautiful from outside and has so much to offer. You can borrow books, movies, even games and you can sit quiet or talk to people depending on the room. They have a space for kids as well, a forest feeling. In my opinion library feels like a connecting point were different people meet and you learn new things. You can book books as well and why buy when you can borrow?
