I would put this an exceptional 11/10 stars if I could! The ticket covers the aquarium, natural history, art, castle history etc. there is something for everyone!nnBags aren’t allowed but cloakrooms are free to use and come with an in-built lock too. The toilet is clean and plenty. There are strollers to rent as well.nnDue to the width of exhibits, you’ll need a minimum of 3h to cover everything! Don’t go too late if you can help it! Suitable to go with children! There are lifts for wheelchair users as well although there may be some difficulty moving around.nnHighly recommend!!!! It’s only 60 per person as well! Very value for money and open on Sunday too! I bought tickets without a queue at around 2+pm on a Sunday.
This is one of the top 10 museums i've visited, it features a great collection ranging from an aquarium at the basement, an area dedicated for animals/global warming, the castle itself, special/temporary exhibition. You can easily spend 4 hours here. There are ample parking right in front but it can get filled quickly.
Affordable for families kids are free.nHowever, within the history /science exhibitions they could do a much better job translating to English.nMany of the exhibits are only in Swedish, and without google translate you won’t be able to enjoy it.nLoved the exhibition on the white busses. Very touching.nAll in all for me a missed opportunity- the museum has a lot of untapped potential start with adding QR codes for translations!.nWe have toured many castles all over Europe and this one falls shorts in comparison.
There isn't much to see in the castle as far as history goes. There is an art display and a nice natural history museum geared toward children in the basement. There were some aquariums set up as well as taxidermy of animals from around the world.
A small but wonderful museum. I was surprised that there was an aquarium and a natural museum in a historical castle. You can also see the white bus, which transported concentration camp survivors to the castle to settle after WW2, at the entrance.
