A very beautiful and well-maintained cemetery with different rooms such as a memorial grove, ash grave and grave mound.
The current church in Mörrum is not the district's first church. Not much is known about the first church, but a wooden church was probably built in the 11th century and a gray stone church was built in the 13th century. Its plan cannot be determined with certainty, but it probably consisted of a rectangular nave with a narrower straight-ended chancel. In the 18th century, it is known that the walls were plastered on the outside.nnDuring the 18th and 19th centuries, the church was extended, rebuilt and also got a church tower. This church was inaugurated on October 17, 1847, and the people of Mörrum got a nice church that they were very happy with. After this, of course, the church underwent further changes, improvements and major maintenance repairs. Among other things the current limestone floor was laid in 1970 when an extensive renovation was carried out. The church then had to be closed and services were held in the parish hall.nnOn January 6, 2008, the church was rededicated after being closed for a number of months for repairs. During these months, among other things, the church room changed its color scheme, another staircase was opened up to the stand and the roof underwent a refresh. Unfortunately, uninvited guests took the opportunity to enter the church, destroy the crucifix and throw it into the Mörrumsån. However, this was found in the reeds after a couple of days and after extensive restoration it was hung back in place in the church.nnSource: Church of Sweden
