Room service was bad - they only left some clean towels but removed the trash only once. They also left some bed sheets in the middle of the room and left the door ajar.nBreakfast is amazing and the ladies serving it are wonderful.nThe older persons at the reception are helpful, but I can't say the same for the younger ones.
Stayed for 4 nights, and we were very happy. The rooms are really large, and though a little basic and dated, they are clean and comfortable.nWe were travelling with a dog, and the hotel is very pet friendly, even having a Dog Station in the lobby with snacks and fresh water always available.nYou may have to book a time slot for breakfast, but that's just sensible given the size of the hotel, and the breakfast selection is what you would expect from a Strawberry hotel, it is varied, plentiful, fresh and the staff take excellent care of you.nThe hotel only offers room cleaning when requesting, I think this is excellent! Cleaning, changing towels etc every day is really not needed, and is very wasteful.nThey have a nice little bar in the reception where you can get a drink if you want, and some snacks. There is also a shuffleboard and pool table, and plenty of seating in the common areas.nThe location at Eriksberg is really nice, the whole neighbourhood is very modern and is a great place to explore. It's out of the noise of the city center, but there are many busses and a ferry that leaves outside the hotel, that can get you downtown in about 20 minutes.nThe staff really go out of their way to be of help, absolute stars.
Hotel rooms are very basic with old design, did not smell good. For that price we expected a little higher standard.nNo kettle and cups for teanWe got one glass less that number of personsnNo hair dryer
Positive:nOverall okay.n- Rooms are large,n- Breakfast is good and plenty to eat.n- Receptionists are nice.n- The view is very nice.n- Commons are nicely equipped: sauna, hot tub, sports equipment, billard table...nnNegative points:n- Rooms are not cleaned every day by default, you have to ask.n- When cleaning, they only change towels my god they don't know how to count, we had a room for 4, only 2 towels every time, empty trash and make the beds, they don't clean the floors nor the bathroom for exemple the don't remove hair from the sink. This is really the main problem as it is not worthy of a 4-star hotel, even basic Ibis hotels clean the room thoroughly.n- The shower is pretty good, though it leaks.n- The room lacks basic commodities: no safe, no kettle, no cooling A/C only outdoor air temp or heat, no phone to join the reception.n- Ceilings have mold spots...
I stayed over here for 4 nights and was generally pleased. The place is easily accessible to ferry / bus stops which can get you to the main city. What I really like was the amount of space, tranquility and interesting architecture in the hotel common spaces. While I agree the rooms may not feel posh, they made it up through their hardworking staff. One fine example is Mr Felix who runs the 10pm to 7am shift. He provided me with local knowledge and recommended me the spots to go to. Felix is also very welcoming and I will always always remember his hospitality such as making sure my breakfast arrangements is attended to
