We stayed at this hotel for one night, two adults and two children.nThe hotel is located 25 minutes from Gröna Lund and Globen is just outside along with a shopping center.nWe parked in the garage opposite and it cost about 250 SEK.nnThe hotel felt fresh and the staff was service-oriented.nThe room was fresh and clean.nThe children slept on a sofa bed, convenient and good.nThe breakfast was served on the fifth floor and was quite ok, it was tasty but personally I thought it was a little too narrow a selection compared to some other hotels.nnBut overall it was a pleasant stay with a short distance to the city.nRecommended
The hotel is very accessible for people using wheelchairs. However, in my experience, it is important to double-check everything directly with the hotel beforehand. In my case, I called them in advance to ask if the room was wheelchair-friendly, especially the bathroom facilities. They were able to book us a room with an accessible toilet, but this arrangement needs to be made early because I believe these rooms are very limited.nnWhen it comes to the bathroom itself, there was unfortunately no shower chair available. I asked the staff about it, but they said they could not provide one. In addition, the emergency/SOS alarm in our bathroom was not working, which was disappointing. The receptionist mentioned that this may not be as necessary for travelers who are not staying alone, but I still believe it is an important safety feature that should always function properly.nnAs for cleanliness, I can say that the hotel overall was clean and comfortable. The bedrooms were especially cozy and well-maintained. However, I was not completely satisfied with the bathroom floor, as the spaces between the tiles seemed a bit dirty and could definitely be cleaned better.nnOverall, the hotel was comfortable and generally wheelchair-friendly, as long as you contact them in advance and clearly explain your accessibility needs before your stay.
Location is great - easy bike ride to just about anywhere and also close to train stations and bus routes - grocery store in the mall next door. Breakfast is good albeit very busy at times. Rooms are spacious but could use an update carpet is dim and dingy - no coffee in rooms, no refrigerator - sparse but serves the purpose. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and food was great, although expensive. Overall, would recommend.
The rooms were excellent—modern, clean, comfortable, and easily the highlight of our stay. The breakfast was also fantastic, with a great variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day.nnUnfortunately, the service could be improved. One thing that wasn't clear is that room cleaning is not done daily unless you specifically request it at the reception. It would be helpful if this was explained more clearly during check-in.nnThe location is decent and convenient for certain attractions and public transport, but it may not be ideal if you're planning to spend most of your time in the city centre.nnOne downside was the noise during the night. Depending on the room location, it can be quite loud, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.nnOverall, it's a good hotel with excellent rooms and a great breakfast, but improvements in service and noise management would make the experience much better.
After reading some of the recent reviews, I’m honestly no longer surprised by the experience we had here. There were three things that stood out most.nnFirst, the communication from reception was extremely disappointing. Before check-in, we specifically asked whether the room was good and whether everything was in order. We were reassured that it was, and were even told that the “old part” of the hotel was actually better. In reality, the information we were given about how to reach the room was also completely misleading.nnSecond, getting to the room felt like a Super Mario level: one lift, a long walk through the hotel, another old internal/staff-style lift down one floor, and then another long walk back through the building before finally reaching the room. For a guest arriving late at night, this is honestly absurd.nnThird, when you book a Superior Room in a four-star hotel, you reasonably expect a Superior experience. Instead, the room felt heavily worn and poorly maintained: scratched and damaged furniture, marked walls, chipped surfaces, visible dirt and dust, damaged joints and generally tired finishes. The photos on the booking platforms looked considerably better than the reality.nnI have stayed in many hotels, and I have rarely experienced such a mismatch between the advertised standard and the actual room condition in a four-star property. Hotel stars are supposed to reflect a certain level of quality, maintenance and service, and this stay fell well below what I would expect from that category.nnThe one positive thing I can say is about the hotel manager. After we complained for the second time, he came out, listened, acknowledged that the condition was not acceptable and genuinely tried to manage the situation as well as he could given that the hotel was fully booked.nnUnfortunately, that does not change the overall experience. I would strongly recommend checking recent guest reviews before booking.
